PIMAX Support – can you please help? I tried to Skype support@pimaxvr.com but no one answers!
I’ve been using my PIMAX on a desktop PC with a GTX 1080 and its been working well. I’m now testing the PIMAX on a ASUS G701VI Laptop which has an internal GTX 1080. When I go to run SteamVR I get error 307 “A Component of SteamVR is Not Working Properly”. See this link for the SteamVR System Report that was generated:
Hi there, does your laptop also has integrated graphics besides GTX 1080? Entend-mode of Piplay was working well?
I had updated our discrete graphics(Nvidia) to latest version to resolve this 307 error before. My desktop is Win7 and only GT740.

@LittleK Thank you for replying. No, the laptop does not have another integrated GPU, only the GTX 1080. Yes, the laptop is working well in Extend mode. I can switch PIMAX to Direct mode via PiPlay. I have tried different versions of the Nvidia driver but still get the same SteamVR error. My laptop is running Windows 10.
Just now, I quited steam and steamvr, and then start “Task Manger–Steam Client Service” (before it was in Stopped status), and then resolved this 307 error. Please try it and tell me what’s the next.
I checked and Steam Client Service is running. It is not stopped. I sent you the logs your engineer requested via Skype and email. Please let me know what the engineer says.
