first time i try (sorry for my english) :

i will explain what i saw :

1 - in “system information” to the left my valve controller are not recognized. (But they are working well).

2 - impossible de move vertically all the menus, stick or trackpad on my valve controlers are not responding. not confortable to move with click and move with lot of games.

3 - IPD adjustement don’t work, when i click nothing happen.

4 - When i turn on my valve controler, they launch automatically SteamVR and quit pimax home.

5 - impossible to “search” a game, no options
possible to put this option “search” in all category ?

6 - in “imported” all the imported games don’t have thumbnails

7 - Same in steamVR some games don’t have thumbnails.

is it possible to put thumbnails of the game in “load profile” ? to load it automaticaly ?
And to search game name of a profile ?

8 - idea : For the first screen we see : Random of 4 thumbnails with “long time no play” and random of 4 Favorites thumbnails games.

/9 - possibility to add new game ? (edit : possible from pitool and more useful from pitool)

10 - possibility to change view of thumbnails, actually horizontal, then possible to change to vertical ?

11 - impossible to go to pimaxHome from steamVRhome. May be plugin for steamVR could help ?

12 - Need desktop view (with possibility to choose desktop, for multi screen).

13 - Add possibility to have dashboard in-game directly with home button on controlers ?

14 - Add possibilitty to have button to launch Home from pitool.

15- Add possibility to change audio directly in home.

16 - Add possibility to recenter view

Ok, that’s all for the moment, i don’t try any game yet because i just try it 15 minutes for the moment. But again very good work !

I have the same behavior on the point n°6 (another topic with this issue) and the point n°4. I don’t know if its possible to disable the auto-start of steamVR when controllers turns on, but if it is, I’m interested !

But please test the new v0.25 I just posted. I changed a lot in the initialization and startup… this should help to solve some of the issues we have seen. I hope at least!

Yep, will be sorted for next version. It was a primitive script i made a while ago, which only updates response is received from PiTool, so it doesn’t update in realtime. Will be fixed!

I know. The scrolling by clicking is i progress to be improved and i have a coder looking at the script to remove the scroll bugs.
As for touchpad/thumbstick input, its not included in current Pimax SDK which is very outdated (no updates made since 2018) but Im trying to figure out how to detect these buttons. As soon as thats done, scrolling with these will be added of course!

That doesn’t sound right. Sounds like you have some connections problem with PiTool runtime. It should work instantly. Can you send me the logs when changing IPD offset?

Yep, thats a SteamVR feature and Im trying to find a way to disable this. Very annoying indeed :wink:

Hmm no thumbnails at all, or just the black Pimax headset thumbnail? All imported games should automatically have the black thumb with a Pimax headset and on top a layer with Title (name). If not, something is wrong here. Logs could help :slight_smile:

This should already be fixed in 0.25 as PE is now using its own importer for steamvr games and not using the PiTool imported steamvr game files. In a few days, also Oculus will work the same way, together with Revive support and more!

Thats because PE runs with Pimax Unity SDK renderer and cannot be run simultaneously as SteamVR. Once SteamVR quits, PE is automatically launched and vice versa. Thats the whole point of PE. Its not supposed to be an overlay to SteamVR.

On the to-do list, but might need help from coders. This is something that we can implement once we go open source very soon!

Thats not possible unfortunately. As I said, its made to be run outside SteamVR.
Making a PiTool dashboard for SteamVR could be a totally different project for the future, but its also quite meaningless as HMD/game settings PE can tweak needs to be applied when SteamVR is not running.

Thats the checkbox “Start Pimax VR Home” in PiTool Settings->General. But indeed a button could be useful!

I actually have a volume slider ready for this, but still struggling with the code to change system master volume in levels (not just up and down). Its quite tricky to get it running, i was not expecting that… but Im sure we will fix this soon together!

Recentee view is already added. Press Thumbstick on any Valve Index controller or Touchpad down on Vive wands.

@SweViver Done, i try to adjust IPD manually (for me 63), and push button on PE, but nothing happen. Turn off PE and send to you the logs. without all the game for place.

And pimax news don’t work too, same with systeme info and cloud profil

It seems the button (or slider handle) doesnt do anything in your case. Super odd! What version of headset (first 4 digits of HMD serial number) and HMD firmware do you run?

On the other hand, I dont know if this is firmware/HMD related. If PiTool didnt set the new option, at least PE would be sending the command to PiTool (without getting a response). In your case, it seems the function is not called at all.

Upon dragging and then releasing the button/handle in the IPD Offset slider, the function is called and first thing done in the function is:
UnityEngine.Debug.Log(timeNow()+"[Debug] Applying new IPD Offset value…");
So this should at least be seen in the log, which it doesnt??

Question: Does the two Screen Vertical Offset sliders work? (the sliders right below IPD Offset slider)

this morning i tried completelly remove pitool with revo uninstaller, and delete all files

Réinstall pitool from PE 0.25

Delete content of pvrhome et copy new from 0.25

But problem is the same.

All ipd adjustement works manually. horizontally and vertically.

This IPD adjustment must be show in Pitool too ? because i don’t see it too in pitool.

For the moment all the firsts 4 icons in PE don’t do nothing (pimax news, system info, ipd, cloud profil). Are not functioning. (when i put laser on the four last, they become green, but the four first stay grey (no light))

i will adjust all and send again the logs.

Do you mean these sliders in PE -> Advanced works or not? What happens when you drag an release the sliders?

  • IPD Offset
  • Vertical Offset Left
  • Vertical Offset Right

The same IPD adjustments are available in PiTool. When changed in PE, then changes are also shown in PiTool in real time (and when sliders are changed in PiTool, it instantly shows the changes on sliders in PE)

Regarding the first 4 icons, these are features not yet added to the Beta.

The IPD Guide, including the 3 other buttons on left side are not yet activated as these features are not added to the Beta yet :slight_smile:
