Hi PiMax 4k will definitely work great 4 movies.
PiMax 4k uses HDMI v 1.4b
Pimax supports 2k directly, the Pimax will up convert to 4k res using interpolation(sp?)
Which is what any display will upconvert or down convert to displays Native resolution.
If you have to wear reading glasses, you will be dissappointed and Pimax will be out of focus.
