There are 2 possible DIY fixes for this:

  1. Record the view from both eyes and remove the middle section and splice the 2 views together. Some video editing software supports this. I haven’t tried it, but someone posted an example in this forum (many months ago).
  2. While recording, turn your head a bit to the right, so that the left eye view appears centered in the recording view. I’ve done this, but it only really works for flying/seated games. This solution is not suitable for FPS games.

I will never buy another Pimax product and have no interest in the brand. I would not recommend a pimax to anyone. Congratulations on getting an 8KX that worked. I wasn’t so lucky. I want an RMA so I can sell the 8KX. I opened a ticket 19 days ago and it’s not even close to a solution.

Thank you. I’m really looking forward to receiving a Reverb G2. I’m sure I will get on well with it and i hope it won’t be faulty on arrival like my 8KX! :crossed_fingers: :0)

Eek I really hope not!! Altered to appease the gods. i don’t have any more room on top of my wardrobe for a faulty pimax and a G2!!

The selling points of the 8kX - resolution and FOV - are the same between the NOT FINAL and PRODUCTION 8kX units.

Yes I am a bit lost about this also, I am not even sure what MAS we are supposed to receive. ( I still dont have tracking number btw)
But he might have a special VoodooDE box sent to him.

But the production 8kx units are also not final!
Wrong hinges,missing facefoam,not working upscale mode

Indeed, I thought of adding that to my post. The ‘PRODUCTION’ 8kX units are only ‘final’ as far as the headset and cabling. The rest is still obviously a bit of a work in progress.

By the way, I have made good progress on the hinges - the latest design is much more optimized for 3D printing and uses a metal screw.
