I wouldn’t want a useless eye tracker & not even sure if i want a $200 one if its features are limited.
But pimax handled this wrong telling us we simply arent getting it because it costs too much.
They used this stretch goal in their favour to bring in more money during the ks.
If they knew it was maybe not possible then that is a con.
If they didnt know then they should replace the amount they thought it would cost them.
They should have a way to make up for the broken promise ie… a $50 voucher or include that $50 comfort mod
…which is not untrue; The frames need to be different to fit around the large and angled lenses, without any occlusion occurring (EDIT: …neither of the user’s field of view, nor the illumination, nor the camera’s not-too-oblique view of the eye). The wording certainly does invite a less “mundane reading”, though.
Your right it just people need to temper their expectations given pimaxs history and that we have only seen a limited demo. It still remains to been seen if any of the additional functionality will come about and how well it will work.
