Could the hand tracking module be used for inside out tracking or room view?

Could the hand tracking module be used for inside out tracking or room view? I don’t know if they are simply IR cameras or something else?

I don’t think the frame rate of the camera is sufficient for that

Room View:
They are IR cameras so you will only see grayscale images.
Resolution will be quite low when spreading the image to the FOV of the Pimax 8k or 5k+.
Frame rate should be sufficient as already the original Leap Motion sensor was able to give you about 110 FPS and this improved device will not be worse. As the cameras are not directly in your line of sight and the fixed distance between the cameras might not mach your IPD the room view will be feeling slightly off.

Inside-Out Tracking:
I’m afraid this will not work very well. For hand tracking the two build-in near infrared LEDs will illuminate your hands. But those LEDs are not bright enough to illuminate your entire room so you will have a low contrast, noisy stereo image as input for the inside-out tracking algorithm so tracking quality will suffer.
