Pardon, ik ben een appel.
hmm. but they didn’t say blurry in a positive light. XD so i’m not sure it came across as a positive.
There are many upscaling algorithms, and ideally with an upscaling algorithm you want the edges to maintain an amount of hardness when upscaled while removing jaggies. it sounds a lot like the upscaler is sacrificing a lot of edge definition. Do you think thats a fair assessment?
All is fair when all we do is speculate on possibilities. But I have decided to get the 8K. BRING IT ON PIMAX!
The scaler in the Pimax 8K is by hardware, not by software. So any changes should be done in the firmware of that chip (if it is possible).
I’ve the 4K and I didn’t notice any blurry image, and it also have a scaler chip.
So I think that the problems could be a bad configuration in the settings.
Ive been wondering if its just a sampling issue as 10 frames down maybe all it needs to miss a few pixals and with no pixals to upscale this would reduce fine details ,cant see how this may not contribute to the blurrness spoken of
