Congrats guys. Having watched the Tested review the 8k, it seems its good. I did notice they both mentioned weird distortion due to modifying the distortion to enable 200 degees. I hope you guys consider lenses for the 8k to enable 110 degree FOV. It would make movies and bigscreen awesome, and your HMD fit for monitor replacement.

Hear, Hear. Thank you PiMax for doing what no other VR company is willing to risk doing. It is a big responsibility now for you to deliver a quality product in record time. We’re wishing you great success.

You can actually replace the lenses? They might as well make everything up-gradable including the hardware inside lol.

I think Pimax have done a really good job at pushing the boundaries whilst keeping costs at a reasonable level. A lot of my initial worries have decreased and even they they have their share of problems, they care enough to try to correct what they can which is a good sign.

There is room for improvement in various areas, some might argue that the naming convention is a bit sketchy…and perhaps over promising when unsure…

Apart from that I think they do their best to put in efforts to communicate to the end user and adapt to feedback, which is a lot more than a lot of places do.

Congratulations…and well done with your efforts. Your team must have worked very hard to get to this point. Thankyou and keep up the good work.

Congratulations PiMAX team on a successful and growing Kickstarter and thanks for taking some risk and pushing the technology envelope.

Very much looking forward to delivery.

This advances virtual reality in 2 or 3 years into the future :fearful: , with its modular design opens the door to updates every year without having to buy a new device to enjoy new technologies. Integration with proven tracking systems such as Vive and emerging systems like Nolo give many options for any player and helps to grow the market instead of trying to monopolize it as Oculus …

Pimax have done a great job, especially making this free forum available to everyone for support. So many helpful people here who answer our questions very rapidly and we all get along too.

Pimax representatives are also polite and respectful even under pressure from demanding potential customers who have a huge amount of questions to ask, which is great to see.

Thank you Pimax. We all like supporting ‘the little guy’, I’m sure more than big VR corporations who already make masses amount of money such as one leading brand who forces a tie in to horrible systems like Facebook with their hidden surveillance software.

Great to see a company like Pimax trying to be different, creating and joining in with the Pimax community they created and succeeding.

What I like best about them is they use us to tell them what we want and to do!!

We told them to let Norm review the headset, they listened!

We demanded DP, they made another headset to support this at full resolution!

With this type of attitude! They grow bigger and more successful! We get what we want!

I visualise them being bought out within 6 months… Samsung, maybe?

Nooooo lol we dont want a giant corporate entity to buy Pimax. If one does, we lose the closeness we have with the company.

I personally don’t see it happening just because of the kickstarter. It would be a few years after the 8K/8K X are commercially available and proven to be a success. But, who knows for sure…

I’d see this as a risk (an acceptable one) given what Facebook did with Oculus. Hypothetically if say Jeff Bezos came at your company with a couple of billion dollars, what would you do?

Oh, I definitely would. Lol im just saying noooo in the sense that the community would lose the grassroots thing going on.

In all seriousness though, if these guys got an offer, I mean, who wouldn’t?
