Compatibility of Prescription Lens and Eye Tracking Modules

I would be very interested to know if the prescription lens module can be used well with the eye tracking module.

I imagine Pimax will take that into account: not everyone can have surgery or wear contact lenses (I can’t, at least) and eye tracking would greatly reduce the work of the graphics card with Variable Rate Shading (VRS), especially with the 8K.

How’s that going, @Doman.Chen and @PimaxUSA?

When will we have the so necessary and I suppose simple prescription lens module?

Thanks!

Would love to know too. Last report Kevin said he saw them but he does not know when they would be available

In all honesty I don’t really believe the eye tracker is done and just sitting on a shelf. They haven’t even released a simple insert frame yet.

Please, people need to know

Im not sure what you mean by that but they have a working eye tracker prototype that apparently worked very well at CES.

Hundreds of people tested it.

Yes, that is true; it remains to be seen if the final version is compatible with the prescription lens module.
If not, Pimax should redesign it to be, it should be possible in no time.

The 7invensun Pimax Eye Tracking module (CES 2019)
(From a vídeo of Sebastian Ang, @mixedrealityTV)

It’s there even room for the prescription lenses frame?

Little space I see in that image for the two modules

I really hope that’s not their final design, it doesn’t look like the eye tracker would comfortably fit on your face without those thick plastic parts at the bottom of the eye tracker sticking into your face.

I’m afraid it may be the definitive version. I hope the frame for the prescription lenses can be inserted in the same space somehow.
