Color banding on the 5k+

Thanks for creating this thread. Here are questions I have posed elsewhere without any response.

Questions:
Is the banding still an issue on the 5K+?
Can the banding be made better (or worse) through resolution changes to PiTools/SteamVR?
Is the banding prevalent at most times where there is large patches of gradient color?
Is the banding always going to be a factor of the 5K+ due to the panel used?
Is banding present on the 8K at all?
