Any news about the 4K tracking system?

The 8K’s tracking system looks preferable to nolo. There were hints it would work on the 4K. Any news, @deletedpimaxrep1?

Thanks for raising this up! We are actually thinking about this as another tracking solution for Pimax 4K. I have shared the feedback with the product team. the team needs to review the design of 4K headset and the 8K positional tracking to analyse feasibility.

Like I mentioned before though, if nothing else we at least need a software plugin to OSVR to enable positional tracking.
There is a new driver out that does that now for Pimax, only it is third party and you have to pay for it. The question is why hasn’t Pimax done that already?

I could see Pimax 4K’s hope in your answer.
Adoption of laser tracking, it is finally the way to complete the pimax 4k.
When it comes to design, it’s a good idea to get inspiration from the pico tracking kit.

Sure, it is here: http://www.driver4vr.com

It is also called freepieconnector. It enables Pimax to connect with Freepie, so that with freepie + psmove service we can add a ping pong ball for headtracking. I tried it and it does work. We did mention this a long time ago, that all we need is a OSVR plugin so we can use freepie for tracking.
