Why not send 2 3840×2160 interlaced frames @ 4:2:0 chroma so that you can recomposite a full 4:4:4 image on the gpu side at the end of the pipeline? That should cut the bandwidth requirements through the cable and 1.4b port, but should also allow for full 4k 60hz 4:4:4 decode on the panel as you have claimed its capable.
