AMAZING IMMERSION with right IPD/PiTool Settings

So when you do your IPD setup - you look on some particular object in the distance and you try to keep that object in the middle. After that, you close one eye and you try to do what? Move the screen (and object) with software offset where you see it super clear and sharp? Then you open your second eye and do the same? Am i correct? If yes, I have really hard time with that because …drum rolls…my sweet spot is actually huge!
My ipd is 62.5 mm. I set mechanical IPD to lowest settings and then i tried what I just described above.
When software offset is at 0, i see fine. When i moved both panels to even -3.1 and 3.1, i still see fine! I dont understand that. Some people complain about sweet spot being super small - and that is not my case. That is why I have such a problem to set up proper IPD.
The ONLY thing which throws me off big time is a roll move. It makes me feel really sick. And it doesn’t matter what IPD I set.

I guess this is due to the image just shifting horizontally. If you increase both values +3.1 and +3.1, the left image moves left and the right image moves right. With +3.1 and -3.1 you would move both left and right images to the left. Maybe the improvement has something to do with the dominant eye being more in focus than the other one?

And yes, when i roll in Aircar my stomach rolls with it

the “key” and the hard part is to look at that centered object like you would do at the same object at the same distance but in the real life and then match left and right image to overlap as perfect it gets. after I do that with some object in the center I also look on objects to the side without(! ) turning the head and check if they overlap there too

As far as i can see this does nothing in and you can set it in the Steamvr file. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config\steamvr.vrsettings. Looks like Pimax overrides it

If you want to try the console the port is new http://localhost:27062/console/index.html

Would be interesting to know if there is a Pimax file you can set it manually though?
