I have a fiber optic cable that is 10 m but it’s only hdmi 2.0b but those max out at 20 meters and I’m definitely sure about the hdmi cause I wanted a 3 meter cable and the guy from
Ruconnected.nl told me this isn’t possible
And they only sell high end cables so if it would be possible they would sell it
I just looked and they finally sell the 3 meter version but there are a lot of cables that are on the market that actually don’t deliver that wat is actually required to meet the standard
I thought I saw a video about a 50 meter hdmi 2.1 cable but i just rewatched it and it was a 50 meter thunderbolt 3 cable
No problem if you would have been right than I also would have liked to know

I have read in some sim forums that virtual ram should reflect your physical RAM. So ppl with 16Gb usually set 16Gb page ram in win 10 settings. So acoringly 32, 64, 128 . Auto settings is not good option for problematic games.

Ok so the dude was right.
I changed my paging file to match the amount of RAM I have, 128gb ram so paging file is now 128,000mb and HL no longer gives me the memory warning on startup.
Pushed performance inside HL to ultra everything and holy smokes, I am blown away.
Been gaming since Unreal Tournament days, been playing a lot of PUBG the last 4 years and started to get over gaming.
This is incredible, still a ways off from perfection with the distortion and other nuances but man, can see where VR is going and it’s really not that far off, but even just roaming around, playing with dead bodies in HL is super fun lol.
Now just need a game that is as fun as Unreal Tournament and PUBG with huge player base, probably still 10 years away from reaching that.
Just need this IPD adjustment thing that SweViver and co are working on

With that amount of RAM I would probably try with a smaller paging file.
Maybe 64 or even 32…

It’s actually recommended to have the paging file 1.5 times the amount of physical ram you have, so I have to change it to 192gb.
That just seems like a total waste of storage to me.
Paging is basically not supposed to happen, especially not on a system with 128GB.

Yeah maybe, but I have an 8tb drive lol, 200gb is like 2% of the 7.27tb, still have 4tb spare so all good for now, although after I install all the flight/driving sims, we’ll see, time will tell.

Try using a really thin custom face foam, or cut out a thick one to fit your face shape to get as close as possible to the lenses and minimise that distortion, and if you feel brave you can do the extreme IPD mod when it goes out of warranty to improve further.
I find the IPD is worse the closer I get, no matter what I do.
I am only now starting to understand why hardware IPD adjustment and software adjustments differences are needed, it’s the how bit that I gotta figure out.
Like how the hell do I rapidly take the headset off to see if a chair irl is the same as the chair in steamVR, I don’t get it, and I don’t get how software IPD is meant to do anything about it.
This really has been what the reviews said, you’ll end up spending more time trying to fix it than you do spending time playing.
But the potential is here and I have time, it’s just annoying. I am a compulsive learner to the point where I become completely obsessed about a topic until I have a good understanding.
This however, this type of learning is not enjoyable.
Frankly its happend in badly coded games, in my case 50% of all sims I played
