I tested Artisan yesterday. True 120hz.
5K+ 120hz mode and Artisan is exactly same but $250 difference.
Yup, 5K+ is doomed.

If Artisan supports the same IPD range as 5K+, It becomes a no-brainer again if your IPD is 72 mm :wink:.

I donā€™t understand something. So pimax8k+ upscaled to 4k has worse clarity than pimax 5k+?
How is it possible? I only care about resolution, not SDE. Will I see better far objects in pimax 8k+?

If you only care about resolution you need the 8KX

The 8k+ primarily will reduce sde. In the pics I saw imho far objects looked better than on 5k+ but will not be as good as the 8kX in native res mode.

8KX has native 4k but wonā€™t work at 110hz.

I mostly play iracing and dirt rally 2. I canā€™t see very well objects/cars 300 meters away.
I just need to know, how much better/worse far objects gonna be in 8k+ vs 5k+
If there is not much of a difference then paying 1000$ for lesser SDE is not worth for me.

I have the 5K+, I play a lot Dirt Rally2, AC and PC2
I tried the 8KX and the 8K+, the difference is very big Vs 5K+, I go for the 8KX, the 8K+ would be good enough though

The 5K+ and 8K+ take the same signal (2560x1440 res). The 8K+ will look better than the 5K+, but there wonā€™t be additional details (although you might be able to discern slightly more details on the 8K+). I would recommend the 8KX, which is what Iā€™ll be upgrading to. The native res (3840x2160) will show significantly more details.

The 8k+ has a higher panel utilization so it does indeed have more detail even at the same resolution. It also has a higher contrast ratio.

The 8k+ also has a screen with many more pixels anyway to resolve the detail and the high quality upscaler.

Yes we optimized the panel usage and the areas that are not rendered as well. A significantly higher percentage of the panel is used. When I try them head to head 5k+ vs the 8k+ there is a highly noticeable difference across the board between the two.

How many 8k plus units have been made available to ship within the US? I have posted in several topics, sent pmā€™s, and sent several emails. Very frustrating to get absolutely 0 response. I love the products and I have both the 8k and 5k plus. Pre ordered the 8k plus and would definitely consider the 8kX as well. However the customer service and transparency in regards to paying customers wanting to know what is going on with a product they have payed for, is something that truly needs to be addressed
