I remember reading on Reddit that Robin had told a backer at the LA meeting they were expecting parts that were holding them up in ‘a couple days’. It’s been a couple days.
Let’s hope:
A. He was telling the truth.
B. They received the parts.
C. Production has re-started.
D. Tracking numbers will start going out again.
But, yeah, you’re not wrong. An update from Pimax is seriously overdue and would be genuinely appreciated.

Like i care about their issues. They always find excuses for never keeping their promises and im so getting sick of this. I want a high quality one and they better start speeding up the process or they will never deliver neither 200 headsets by christmas. Im so sick of lies and excuses from Pimax.
Well I’m backer #59 and no tracking yet. I would expect next wave should give me high probability of getting a tracking number when they get there supply issues sorted out with there headset assembly.
at this point being backer 61xxfor the 5k+, seemingly itd be better off getting both my headset,base stations and controllers at the same time. being a first time purchasing vr, ill be restricted to just use the hmd which sucks having to wait another few months. if any one has a rough date or info on base stations/ controllers, it’d be greatly appropriated. it’d be nice to receive leap motion due to the already extended wait. i know everyone’s agitated but due to the circumstance that 90% chance that everyone will have their headsets by xmas is looking mighty slim.
I’m at the back end of the next 100 and even I have resigned myself to the fact I may be waiting until Christmas.
It’s taken 1 month to ship the first 100 (or 2 months if you count from September when they should have really started making these or even 3 months if you count the 31st July when they first said they were making 230 units).
So lets say I have another month to wait for shipping and shipping takes an average of 2 weeks, even backer 200 could be looking at a mid December delivery.
Well, but to be honest: PR, communication and transparency aren’t the great strengths of Pimax, unfortunately.
It’s really a pity: they have got such a great product, and considering the fact we live in 2018, establishing such a company shouldn’t be great problem any more. But unfortunately, they always end up with a mess…
I don’t understand why they don’t engage some real professionals for PR & communication. That would help them a lot.
When I was reading through the NYC backer reviews one of the backers said that he asked Robin about the delivery situation and Robin said he was still confident Pimax would deliver most of the units before Christmas . So what are we supposed to make of that comment?
This is embarrasing. We need a real update about production. We are all backers and pimax should show us more respect with current information. After one month of mass production this is a joke. We really pray to have our pimax before Christmas. This is going to be an act of faith after all.
I’m 62xx so I’m not far off. For myself I want to get the basestations and 5k? at the same time because the basestations should already be waiting at Pimax’s Lair by then. Then I can play Elite with 6 DOF and my HOTAS/Rudder Pedals. Even without the basestations we can play in 3 DOF for sims. Get the headset as quickly as possible.
I had hoped for the end of January when Robin Weng announced 90% probability they all pledge would be ready by Christmas. And I thought that was giving them credit. Then the housing failure happened and now we’re sitting still. He’s still adamant that they’ll all be shipped by Christmas. I would be VERY impressed if they did it.

I really hope Pimax can keep improving their communication and get some outside help with marketing material containing English. It drives me crazy how incorrect and easily fixable their PR material can be.
