Looks like the only way we will hit the 3 million level is of the 5k versions sell out now or a whole lot of Vive owners jump on the headset only option . We can’t hit it with the full package limit.
We ll get to 3M easy.
When we were at the low 2mil I wasn’t sure that we were going to make it. However, as it stands, I think the probability is that we can. The limit also puts people to a decision. Either back it or potentially miss out… People are more likely to come out of the wood work when things become limited.

It will hit 3 million easy. On the last day people will be grabing anything available. Some people are already doubling their pledges. If you are a X backer you can add $499 to keep your loan 8K and receive double stretch goals

They will sell out of the headset only options. They sold 200 of the 550 slots in the time since they announced the limit. I was one of them. A lot of vive holders like me were holding off till last minute to make sure there was a good shot at eye tracking. It was pure luck i spotted the post on r vive that they were limiting them. As word continues to spread those units will be snapped up.
The 8K is just too much of a leap not to jump on it at this price ( headset only).
$2.9 million, 5 days to go…yeah it’ll easily surpass 3. I honestly didn’t think it would come close but I think the recent additions on the kickstarter page, all the reviews and talk lately have really marketed it to a lot of people on the fence or those never hearing of it until now. I’m sure many people realize that once it goes retail, it’ll probably stay sold out for a few months depending how well they are capable of keeping up with demand. I know Nintendo sure isn’t and they are a mega billion dollar company.
370 of those 550 slots taken. 35 k to go. People will be confident they get eye tracking now so that will be passed no problem.
Just read that demo units have been running at 75Hz 
… i hope they know how to fix this to 90Hz in the future designs or this could be a problem.
havent they always talked about it running at a switchable 75 and 90 . My understanding was the switch from hdmi to display port for v3 would open up the 90.

The v3 demos seen to be running at 75 were on Display Port. The chap who reported it in this forum suggested Pimax were struggling to get 90 working and hadn’t actually managed it yet.
I think we’re all hoping a Pimax rep will clear things up.

…but this number will go backwards if they don’t sort out the 75Hz issue in the next 5 days.
